Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech-language pathology services to K-8 students in full-time and part-time roles across multiple schools in the Okeechobee and surrounding areas of Florida. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic caseload primarily serving preschool to fifth-grade students, including those in specialized Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) units and Head Start programs. Supervision is provided for Clinical Fellows (CFs), allowing new professionals to grow their expertise while contributing to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and deliver individualized therapy to students in PK-8 settings.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Manage caseload effectively while documenting services and maintaining compliance with school district policies.
- Provide services both onsite at assigned schools and, when needed, at offsite locations such as Head Start programs.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure is required.
- Open to Clinical Fellows with supervisory support available.
- Experience working with a range of age groups, notably preschool through middle school.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
- Familiarity with ASD units and experience providing services in such settings is beneficial.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location and Scheduling:
- Positions available in Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, and surrounding areas.
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time schedules available, with part-time roles potentially combined to create full-time hours.
- Assignments generally involve one primary school with opportunities to support others.
